About the Job
Our client is seeking a Senior Accountant to collaborate with the Finance Lead in overseeing financial operations within the designated region. This role is essential in delivering timely financial insights, supporting day-to-day finance needs, and accurately reporting results to management. The position will also involve compliance and tax filings, transaction support, and the implementation of financial controls to safeguard assets and optimize performance.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Financial Reporting and Analysis
- Compile and submit timely, precise financial results for the region.
- Conduct reconciliations of high-impact accounts and review other reconciliations regularly.
- Assist with analyzing monthly financial performance at the regional level.
Management of Financial Ledgers
- Oversee accounts including payables, receivables, inventory, prepayments, fixed assets, and deferred revenue.
- Facilitate expense management workflows, covering vendor invoicing, employee expenses, approvals, and weekly payment cycles.
- Prepare and monitor monthly, quarterly, and annual accruals.
Regulatory Compliance and Coordination
- Work with external partners to fulfill financial governance needs, such as indirect tax submissions and annual audits.
- Complete additional filings or vendor-related payments as required by regional policies.
Team Collaboration and Support
- Actively participate in invoicing and cash collection activities.
- Provide support for inventory control in line with business requirements.
- Contribute to the annual budgeting process by providing relevant data and analysis.
Improving Cash Flow and Reducing Debt
- Facilitate monthly order-to-cash meetings, identifying key actions to enhance cash flow.
- Track and improve indicators like ITBR, GSNI, accounts receivable, and pending sales orders.
- Maintain a proactive approach to managing and minimizing bad debt.
Financial Controls and Compliance
- Adhere to established financial controls, ensuring accuracy and protection of assets.
- Contribute ideas for refining control procedures to enhance security and accuracy.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- CPA or equivalent qualification within the territory.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in accounting roles.
- Proficiency in financial systems and tools.

- Proactive collaboration with teams to achieve strong performance in collections and inventory management.
