Job Overview
The Fractional CFO will partner closely with the CEO and executive team, providing high-level financial leadership, strategic guidance, and operational insights. This role is critical in driving the financial strategy, including capital allocation, cash flow management, and profitability analysis, while ensuring compliance and long-term financial stability. Key Responsibilities
- Financial Strategy & Planning: Develop and implement the company’s financial strategy to support growth and profitability. Guide budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling to align with business goals.
- Revenue Optimization: Work with the sales and marketing teams to improve monetization strategies, drive revenue growth, and optimize pricing models for products and services.
- Cost & Profitability Analysis: Lead analysis on cost structures, identify inefficiencies, and provide recommendations to optimize profit margins across various service offerings.
- Cash Flow Management: Oversee cash flow planning and management, ensuring sufficient working capital for daily operations, growth initiatives, and potential investments.
- Capital Structure & Funding: Advise on capital structure, manage relationships with banks and financial partners, and assist with fundraising efforts if needed, including debt and equity financing.
- Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure regulatory compliance and financial reporting accuracy; manage risk through strong internal controls and policies.
- Financial Reporting & Analytics: Deliver timely financial reports, analytics, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to executive leadership and board members. Provide insights on financial performance and trends.
- Team Leadership & Development: Guide and mentor the accounting team, improving processes, fostering development, and ensuring a strong financial foundation.
Qualifications & Experience
- Professional Designation: CPA, CA, CMA, or CFA designation preferred.
- Relevant Industry Experience: Prior experience in digital media, advertising, SaaS, or technology-driven businesses is highly desirable.
- Proven Track Record: 10+ years of experience in financial leadership roles, including previous CFO, VP of Finance, or senior controller roles.
- Strategic Insight: Demonstrated ability to partner with executive teams on strategic initiatives and growth planning.
- Financial Acumen: Strong expertise in budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and capital management.
- Analytical Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and offer actionable insights.
- Tech-Savvy: Proficiency with financial software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite) and data visualization tools; familiarity with digital media metrics a plus.
