About the Company

A leading provider of global real estate management services is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Supervisor, Accounts Receivable to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the efficiency and effectiveness of the Accounts Receivable department, with up to 8 direct reports, reporting to a Divisional General Manager. This role oversees cash applications, billing, and collections while serving as a key business partner in managing collection activities with key customer accounts.

About the Role
  • Leadership and Team Management: Lead and manage a team of 8 accounts receivable professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment. Provide coaching, training, and performance evaluations to ensure team objectives are met. Set clear goals and align team objectives with strategic goals.
  • Cash Applications: Oversee the cash applications process, ensuring timely and accurate payment allocations. Develop strategies to reduce unapplied cash and improve reconciliation efficiency.
  • Billing: Manage the billing team to ensure accurate and timely invoicing of customer accounts. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve billing discrepancies and improve billing accuracy and efficiency.
  • Collections: Lead the collections team in managing overdue accounts and reducing Days Sales Outstanding (DSO). Build strong customer relationships for timely payments and implement collection strategies to minimize bad debt and enhance cash flow.
  • External Business Partner: Act as the main contact for collection activities with key customer accounts, building and maintaining strong relationships with external stakeholders to support collections and negotiate payment terms. Collaborate with other departments to address customer concerns and improve customer experience.
About the Candidate
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounts receivable management, including at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of cash applications, billing, and collections processes.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop team members.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with great attention to detail.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a capacity to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
