Our client is a world leader specializing in the sales, distribution, and marketing of motorcycles, ATVs, snowmobiles, outboard motors, and other motorized products across Canada. They are seeking a talented Senior Financial Analyst – FP&A to join their team.
Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Financial Analyst – FP&A to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely with the Director of Financial Planning & Analysis to maintain budget and forecast models, analyze financial results, and update reporting. This role also involves product pricing analysis, new product deployment support, and treasury and asset-liability management analysis.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver budgets and updated rolling forecasts, review monthly variances, and identify opportunities/risks.
- Conduct high-level analysis of monthly financial results, prepare variance reports for senior leadership, and assist in monthly closing activities.
- Support asset/liability management and treasury functions, including preparation for Treasury Management Committee meetings.
- Perform ROI assessments and support analysis for new product deployments and enhancements, working closely with various business areas.
- Ensure the pricing model assumptions are current and accurate, collaborating with the product & pricing team to achieve targeted return profiles.
- Maintain and improve budget, profitability, and pricing models, load financial data into SAP, update CAPEX plans, and assist with internal and external audits.
- Contribute to the improvement of internal processes.
Qualifications & Experience
- Business-related degree (BBA, BCOM) in Business and/or Accounting.
- Qualified CPA designation (or in process).
- 3+ years of experience in Accounting, Finance, and/or Public Accounting.
- Strong financial modeling skills and business acumen.
- Excellent critical thinking and analytical skills; strategic thinker.
- Proficiency in report writing, finance and accounting principles, and office software applications such as SAP and Microsoft Office.
- A mindset for continuous improvement and proactive task accomplishment.
- Ability to work independently with a natural curiosity.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation), and a strong collaborator.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to change.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
- Some overtime may be required.
