About the Client
A national legal services firm with offices across Canada is seeking a full-time Billing Analyst. The role operates within a large shared services team. The Billing Analyst will handle billing for consultations and hourly files, as well as contingency billing. The successful candidate will also assist with the collections process and client coordination. This role will be a key contributor within the shared services team and eventually progress into training and development job responsibilities while also operating as a billing subject matter expert.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and process billing for consultations and hourly files, as well as contingency billing.
- Assist the AR team with the collections process and client coordination.
- Work closely with the Accounting and Assistant Accounting Managers to ensure accurate and timely billing.
- Maintain billing records and documentation.
- Handle inquiries from clients regarding billing matters.
- Assist with month-end billing and reporting.
Qualifications
- Post-secondary education or diploma, with a focus on accounting or similar program.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in billing, preferably in a law firm setting.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Good initiative and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to adapt quickly.
- Proficiency with MS Office, particularly Excel.
